Frequently asked questions.
Where do you sell Salmon?
We sell our Salmon in three states (Kansas, North Carolina and Oklahoma). We want our customers to have fresh, high-quality Salmon that is in top condition. Because of this we are not able to travel far with what we bring home with us from Alaska. Wichita is home, so we are able to provide Salmon to people who are able to get to Wichita, Kansas City or Oklahoma City. My brother lives in Durham, NC, so we are able to get Salmon there as well.
When do I get my Salmon?
We will release a scheduled pick-up date for you to come and grab your Salmon. It will be sometime in late August or early September when we return home with your catch. You can simply drive up to wherever we are stationed that day, pick up your fresh catch, and then, enjoy.
What is once frozen Salmon all about?
Flash frozen and vacuum sealed quickly after being caught is how we preserve the fresh fish flavor. This stops the breakdown that occurs once a fish is no longer alive. That's why we keep it frozen from the moment it reaches the beach until the moment you pull it out of your freezer.
Do you ship the Salmon outside of Kansas, North Carolina or Oklahoma?
Currently we do not. Due to the desire for high quality product, we haven't found a safe way to move fish further from where we currently reside.
How many meals will I get from 10 lbs. of Salmon?
Forty meals per 10 lbs. if you 4 oz. of Salmon is your usual. If you eat 6oz then you are looking at more like 25 meals. If you have a growing teenager, maybe 8 oz is a better estimate and you can expect around 20 meals.
